The WebQuest

Computers and the Internet are valuable teaching and learning tools. Find out how to engage your students in experiential (hands on) learning activities that promote social skills via teamwork, higher order critical thinking via inquiry and problem-based learning, and technology via the Internet.




Today's students need constant challenges in order to focus. WebQuests are problem-based learning activities that engage students in learning. Engage your students in experiential (hands on) learning activities that promote social skills via teamwork, higher order critical thinking skills via inquiry and problem-based learning, and technological skills via the Internet and Microsoft applications. Motivate your students to become lifelong learners by using WebQuests. In this course you will learn how to create and use WebQuests in your classes. In addition, you will learn how to facilitate students as they work online.

 

Learn about WebQuests and find out what it is like for students to use them.

 

You can build your own WebQuests to suit your subject matter and target population. WebQuests are fun and easy to create. Professor Bernie Dodge has provided design patterns to guide you through the process. I encourage you to try. I will be more than happy to critique and publish your WebQuests online if they fit the criteria set by Bernie Dodge.
